Arthroscopic Meniscus Repair Surgery

Thousands years of time tracts, stories of history and recollections build up the city of beautiful Beijing. Mr. Gong’s story of healing his damaged meniscus in JJOH was persuasive.   

Mr. Gong showed a great concern about meniscus repair surgery. He was worried because when he was in his home Beijing, doctors consistently told him that the whole area of meniscus should be removed. He travelled a very long way to Jhong Jheng Spine & Orthopedic Hospital. Was he able to stand the same unpleasant news if Superintendent Wu announced the very similar diagnosis result? To be lame was certainly the very last circumstance he could bear at the young age of 30. 

The voice at the other of phone call was full of anxiety and stress. Only 2 issues the person was insisted: 1. To maintain the most part of knee structure.  2. Any treatment plan should be offered shortly?   

Not long after the first phone call, has Mr. Gong already reserved the time of operation in one of Beijing hospitals.  Our international team immediately was trapped in a strong tension to push up working speed: hurried up MRI evaluation, settled down details of medical trip plans and etc. We kept to our promise to maintain the best part of the patient’s knee. Nightmare of Disability should be cleared as soon as possible from patient’s doubts. 

Meeting with Superintendent Wu released entirely Mr. Gong from high pressure. He could share with our staff stories in Beijing with easy manner. He said that he was luckily recommended by doctors in homeland and obtained a second choice of meniscus repair treatment from overseas.   

Operation was thoroughly successful. Only 2 small wounds, and were about 2 cm each wide. Just a day before discharge, we received again a call from Mr. Gong, “Would you please offer me some information to Kengtin?”

Our team again was busy like bees but this time nothing related to medical arrangement. Immediate phone calls, such as hotel bookings, tickets of National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium, discounts, shuttle bus, driving routes and etc.  

Goodbye our healed guest from Beijing, who stepped out of the dark smog of fear losing ability of walking, rushed to the beaches in Southern Taiwan, plus to new life of recovery.
